A Message From Our Principal
Department of Education School Report Card for AHS

Click here for a message from our principal regarding the AHS report card
Dear Parent/Guardian:

As we enter October you should be receiving your student's mid-quarter progress report. These progress reports will be distributed to the students on October 3rd.  Additionally, if your student took an MCAS exam last year, your students MCAS results will be sent home on October 3rd as well. If you have any concerns or would like to discuss anything with your student's teachers, please feel free to schedule a parent-teacher conference. We are having a parent-teacher conference night on October 7th from 6:00-7:30. You can contact my office, at 978-249-2435, to schedule an appointment.

Our student athletics and clubs are in full swing now. It was great to see all of the school spirit last weekend for homecoming. Our girls' volleyball team is off to a great start, they won the Volleyball Hall of Fame tournament last weekend. Our boys' and girls' soccer teams have been putting together some wins, while our football and field hockey teams keep working hard to crack into the win column. Overall, all of our student-athletes have been working hard and they all deserve our continued support.

Our October schedule also has some professional development time built into it for teachers. Please make note that there is no school on Friday October 10th for professional development, and no school on Monday October 13th for Columbus Day. Also, October 29th is a half day for students.

Remember, with our full year classes it is important not to let your student fall behind. Please take a moment to review your student's progress report with them and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Steven C. Meyer
Principal
Athol High School
